Jesus intends that this inheritance of peace be ours now and for eternity. Remember, God never said that we wouldn’t have difficulties, but He did promise we could have peace in the midst of the storms. Sometimes, Jesus does not remove the problems in your life how and when you want Him to. But they understood that this storm could snatch away their very lives that night. You may fail, flounder, and sin; but God is ultimately in control. They were focusing on the storm instead of the fact that Jesus was in the boat. Mark 4:36 describes the scene.
